A sky blue light glazes all over the city of Nuremberg during its most important cultural event "The Night of Arts and Culture".

On May 15th  the city celebrates a feast from seven o’clock in the evening till the early hours of the next day, which enchants more than 130.000 visitors every year. Inspired by a special theme – which is in 2010 "on the way" (referring to the 175th anniversary of the 1st railway ride from Nuremberg to Fürth in 1835) – the ancient squares and buildings of this historic city are thriving with life amongst light installations and all kinds of art performances. Come and enjoy this unusual flair of musical events, lectures, theatre performances and modern arts. Welcome to all our foreign visitors to the Blaue Nacht!
